About

Sharon is the author of Home Schooling Children with Special Needs and provides consulting to families home teaching children with any type of learning challenges as well as consulting and coaching for adults dealing with ADD and other Executive Function difficulties. She holds a Master's Degree in Special Education and has worked with a variety of special needs children and adults including her daughter, Alison, who is on the autism spectrum. Before home teaching her children (1991-2012), Sharon taught junior high school and opened her own practice offering educational evaluations and therapy.

 

Sharon lives with her husband and daughter, Alison, in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills of California.

Home Schooling Children with Special Needs

Sharon's book, "Home Schooling Children with Special Needs" is a starting place to help you begin or continue home schooling your special needs child with confidence. Includes resources on different disabilities, coping with the emotional issues of parenting and teaching special children, and sections on program planning and curriculum to help you with the "nuts and bolts" of your home school.
